The goal of this committee is to work towards providing member departments and their communities at large with information and resources as they relate to the reduction and prevention of fires and injuries.
Five SAFC members appointed by the SAFC executive for a term of two (2) years.
Meetings are held a minimum of two per year, one being at the S.A.F.C. conference and one at the Board of Directors meeting or on an as-need basis as determined by the chairperson. A secretary will be appointed at each meeting for the purpose of recording and circulating minutes to committee members and S.A.F.C. executive director. Duration and dates of meetings will vary with consideration to available time and agenda content. Three of the five members will constitute a quorum.
