    Applications for the 2017 Wildfire Community Preparedness Day Funding are now open!

    Up to twenty $500 project funding awards are available to help prepare your community for the dangers of wildfires in 2017. You can submit project funding applications from now through to Friday, March 21, 2017 at 23:59 MST. A panel will then review the applications and select up to 20 project award recipients.

    The Chlorine Institute (CI), partnering with the Prairie Region TRANSCAER Committee (PRTC), CN, CP and RAC, will be hosting a FREE Chlorine training event at CN’s Chappell Yard in Saskatoon in August 2017. This is the only stop on the Chlorep tour in Western Canada this year.     Fire Chief Jason Everitt and his team at the Prince Albert Fire Department are proud to host the 67th Annual Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs’ Conference. This year’s conference will take place in Prince Albert, April 26th-30th 2017, inclusive. The Conference will be held at the Prince Albert Inn - 268 - 2nd Ave West and the trade show venue is the Prince Albert Armoury located 810 Exhibition Drive in Prince Albert.

    The Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is finalizing plans to participate in enhancing the RCMP/SaskPower project to install a new province-wide public safety radio system throughout Saskatchewan.

    This state-of-the-art system will replace the existing Fleetnet system currently being used by public safety/service agencies by December 31st 2010. It will also be available to public safety agencies that do not use Fleetnet.

    The Provincial Public Safety Telecommunications Network project has developed a plan in cooperation with our Sask Power project partners to assist in the support of current emergency service fleetnet users who are experiencing equipment failures - particularily with their portable radios. The attached document provides the qualification criteria and deployment process that will be utilized.
